An NIS treatment - how we access the brain
?
Using the NIS system practitioners are looking for congruence between the BRAIN and certain neurological centres. If a persons individual tolerance level has been exceeded, causing
circuits in the body to disconnect then brain control becomes limited, o
ur potential function becomes reduced and symptom patterns evolve.

To identify any broken circuits practitioners follow the
NIS SYSTEM (a series of prioritised protocols developed by Neurolink), hold specific
ANATOMICAL CONTACT POINTS and do a
MUSCLE TEST to identify any issues that have been pushed past their tolerance levels. Once identified they facilitate
BRAIN to
re-set the circuitry in order for all the body systems to return to optimum potential for that individual.

The Neurological Integration System (NIS)
NIS is not a technique! It is a system of prioritised treatment protocols that are applied with the patient in a pre-determined sequence.
Each protocol centres around neurological processes that consult the BRAIN to prioritise the individual needs for the patients health. The essence of the NIS system, and what makes is very different from other modalities is that:
NIS does NOT use any instruments
NIS does NOT use muscle activation, or spinal/ sternum tapping
NIS does NOT advocate practitioner intent
NIS does NOT use verbal interrogation
NIS is simple to use! With NIS you follow the same series of protocols with each patient. What you find each time will vary according to their symptom pattern/s. Using NIS you will have the ability to lift the optimum potential of every patients body systems at the same time. NIS protocols are very simple and can be integrated into any practice structure.

Muscle Testing with NIS
Practitioners using the NIS system use a muscle test to determine
WHERE and
WHY neurological potential has been reduced. We use muscle testing as a benchmark to retrieve data from the brain.
Using the NIS system practitioners will evaluate which neurological pathways have been pushed past their tolerance levels, and have become `disconnected'. By contacting specific combinations of anatomical locations a muscle under resistance will weaken if the brain fails to understand the relativity or relationship of those contact areas.
Thinking of learning NIS - but not confident with muscle testing or have never muscle tested before? NIS works on a very different platform for muscle testing than other modalities. It works on a very precise neurological platform. Practitioners can easily test the difference between weak and strong by releasing contact from the anatomical contact points and test again to 'feel the difference'.
It is important that both you and your patient can `feel the difference' in order to have confidence during the treatment. Muscle-testing, and its application using the NIS system is taught at the beginning of the Module A seminar.
Muscle testing has been used widely for many years, and remains the most accurate means of accessing data from the brain.

Anatomical Contact Points
The NIS system is based on scientific research and employs the use of certain anatomical contact points, including those in the meridian system. Used in Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine, the meridian system is the basis for accessing glands/ organs with the NIS system.
It is essential that all practitioners wishing to learn the NIS system possess a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and neuro-anatomy which is the reason why there is an
eligibility criteria that needs to be meet prior to NIS seminar attendance.
Pre- seminar learning information is sent out to first time seminar attendees to `brush-up' on their contact points and additional background information is taught throughout Module A, B and Masters.
Why we use the Post Central Gyrus|
| Primary sensory area of the brain Allows stereognosis (to recognise form & touch) Collective stimulation of this area reinforces recognition by both hemispheres of the respective anatomical contacts being held at the time. |
No practitioner is capable of making any correction by ‘doing’ something to modulate a response. That is a fallacy. The ‘doing’ will only be achieved if the brain will acknowledge the incongruence via the post central gyrus, and therefore is responsible for the outcome.
NIS facilitates the post central gyrus (the message and receiving centre of the brain) to acknowledge the incongruence so dysfunction can now be addressed/corrected by the brain. This restores appropriate control of the sensory-motor loop, giving back control to the testing muscle.
