Labels are names given to combinations of symptoms. E.g. Allergies, Asthma, Chronic Fatigue, Migraines.

- 'Allergy’ is a label given to the symptoms of incomplete digestive processing which in turn give rise to poor immune function. NIS screens for the reasons why proteins, fats, and carbohydrates have failed to metabolise to carbon dioxide and water. Viral, bacterial and fungal pathologies are investigated and eliminated through the NIS protocol. Allergies are also symptoms of inappropriate production of anti-inflammatory hormones, B-cells and T-cells. The dynamics that inhibit the utilization of these factors are investigated and resolved using the NIS protocols.
Asthma: (respiratory complaints affecting both children & adults)
- Patients with asthma often rely on their ventolin inhaler every day. It is your patient’s respiratory system that is compromised - using the NIS system we investigate WHY. How - by evaluating for allergy involvement, adrenal insufficiency, diaphragm restriction, cerebral spinal fluid restriction, spinal nerve entrapment, utilisation of steroid hormones, inadequate control & function of the hypothalamus, pancreas and pituitary glands. Any one or more of these issues could be involved with a patient with asthma, and using the priortised steps in the NIS system we are able to evaluate all these, and more.
Back Pain: (structural issues/ sciatica)
- Low back pain is a common musculoskeletal disorder affecting many people at some point in their lives. It can be either acute, sub-acute or chronic in duration. Back pain is commonly treated with soft tissue manipulation, but with NIS we investigate WHY the brain is failing to control the neurological signalling to muscles, tendons, ligaments and joint proprioceptors. Evaluation considers compensations that can take place both with weight bearing and under emotional stress.

Chronic Fatigue: (ME)
- Chronic Fatigue is a complex issue characterised by incapacitating fatigue. In many cases it lasts for years and severely impairs a person's ability to function. The number of cases diagnosed increases every year with patients prescribed medication, supplements and vitamins. NIS investigates WHY inadequate assimilation and utilisation of essential nutrients have prevented normal metabolic processing. This includes the investigation of viral, fungal, bacterial and parasitic antigens.

- Taking anti-depressants is a common approach for many patients diagnosed with depression. NIS investigates 2 major factors: WHY the processing of thought fails to rationalise with concurrent incoming and sensory data. Hemispheric integration on both a conscious and subconscious level is a vital part of this assessment. WHY Neurotransmitters are failing to assist functional serotonin due to its role in glycogenolysis.
Digestion: (irritable bowel/ gluten intolerance)
- Irritable Bowel is often treated with prescription medication, or patients are told to avoid certain foods. But what if you could carefully assess all 4 phases of digestive processing? Using the NIS system we are able to investigate WHY foods are not being assimilated correctly by evaluating the integration of the enteric, glandular and cranial systems.
Infertility:
- Fertility is a big subject, from the monthly ovulation cycle right through to falling pregnant. If a couple is having trouble falling pregnant often the female is given hormone treatments with IVF commonly the next step. With NIS we assess free hormone activity relative to the FSH, TH, TSH, progesterone & oestrogen hormones. It is important that both partners are considered in this area.
Learning & behavioural difficulties: (ADHD/ ADD/ dyslexia/ hyperactivity/ aspergers/ dyspraxia)
- Learning and behavioural difficulties are a growing issue, not only with children, but also with adults. More and more cases of ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, aspergers etc are being diagnosed each year. This neurological disorganisation is often treated with assistance programs 'training the brain', or the patient is prescribed on-going medication. With NIS we investigate WHY the cerebellum is incongruent with other cortical centres, or is incongruent with higher cortical signalling between hemispheres. The brain will initiate change - NOT the patient. We reset the neurological pathways to allow automatic function to be restored.

Migraines: (headaches)
- Migraines can be debilitating, and it is common for severe migraine sufferers to carry around emergency prescription medication for this complaint. NIS investigates WHY the area postrema is reacting to a lowered blood Ph that triggers familiar migraine patterns. Systems typically involved are the digestive, immune, and stress factors that implicate the amygdale.
Neurological Injury: (trauma)
Reflux:
- Reflux is a common complaint in babies and children. It can be stressful not only for the baby or child, but also for the parents. Using the NIS system we investigate WHY the concurrent functions of the cardiac/Houstonian and pyloric/ICV valve are disrupted. Also all pathogenic influences to the gut are considered along with enteric functions.
Sciatic Pain:
- A standard chiropractic approach would be to address the nerve interruption and look at ways to take pressure off the nerve to release the piriformis. NIS addresses the nerve interruption as a symptom. The piriformis muscle is under the control of the adrenal gland. Under NIS protocol any dysfunction of the adrenal gland would be addressed. It is possible the joint proprioceptors may not be working to their potential, which in turn causes a weak piriformis. The gluteus muscle on one side of the body may not be working to its potential due to weakness of the colon due to viral/bacterial/fungal infection. The colon controls Tensor Fascia Latae. The one sided weakness could cause hip instability.
