Tips & Advice
Frequently Asked Questions
Which Practitioner should I see?
We recommend you ask our reception staff for guidance on the best Practitioner for your circumstances and requirements. All Practitioners at the Neurolink Centre are consistent in their approach to healthcare, and represent comprehensive background and experience in healthcare management.
Do I need to bring X-rays, reports and other medical information to my visit?
Depending on the reason for visiting the Neurolink Centre you are advised to bring the results of any diagnostic or imaging tests you have had in the 3 months prior to your first visit with us. In some specific cases, bringing your medical information is mandatory. Our reception staff will advise you on what is required.
Should your case require, we will prescribe our own diagnostic and imaging tests to evaluate treatment progress with The Neurolink Centre.
How am I likely to feel after NIS treatment at the Neurolink Centre?
Once again this is all dependent on the nature of your complaint. In some cases you may feel a little tired. This is because the body will be a lot more relaxed. If you are treated for an infection, one can expect some fatigue for a few days as the body eliminates the infection from the system. In many cases patients will report a decrease in the pain level even before leaving a Neurolink® NIS session.
It is important to ask your Practitioner at your first visit what you may expect (if anything) in the few days following your treatment.
On average how many visits does a patient need?
This is a common question but virtually an impossible one to answer. Your Practitioner will be able to guide you better following your consultation.
NIS at the Neurolink Centre should also be considered as part of your maintenance healthcare program, in much the same way as you get your car serviced periodically. Many patients choose to visit the Neurolink Centre, on a periodic basis, as a matter of course. At the Neurolink Centre we promote health care and not health repair. We recommend monitoring of all general healthcare needs on a quarterly basis, so any potential problems can be contained before they progress.
How soon can I expect to see results from a visit at the Neurolink Centre?
The brain is an intricate computer capable of processing at speeds beyond our comprehension. Once a “reconnection” has been made and the brain can regain control of the problem, it will begin the healing process immediately. Keep in mind, the body does need time to make changes. The type, complexity, level of acuteness, and length of time you have had your complaint are all factors that will determine the amount of treatment required and the healing process.
Do I need a doctor/specialist referral to come to the Neurolink Centre?
Many patients do come on other medical referral, but No, you do not. You can see any of our Associates without referral.
